After moving to Corona del Mar in 1961, Doug attended Corona del Mar High School and went on to study at San Diego State University. He obtained his real estate salesman’s license in 1980, and secured a real estate broker’s license in 1990. Initially entering the industry as a loan officer for a mortgage broker, Doug moved on to Western Financial Savings and Loan where he quickly became the top retail loan producer. A career decision to become involved in construction lending lead to a position at Commerce Bank in Newport Beach. This was the start of it all. For the next 20 years, Doug workied for multiple banks, becoming Vice President in charge of construction lending for Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties. Products financed include office, retail, industrial, tract housing, multi-family, and mini storage facilities. Married to his wife Victoria for more than 20 years, the family now includes and their three children—Charlie, and twins Lauren and Kristen.
