Michael Kaplan has been with the Barry Slatt Mortgage Company since 1998. After starting with the company as an analyst, and then as a production officer, Michael is currently the company’s Chief Operating Officer. In addition to his role as COO, Michael oversees the Barry Slatt Mortgage Company’s $2.3 Billion servicing portfolio and manages its Southern California offices in Los Angeles and Newport Beach. He continues to originate, negotiate and structure both debt and equity transactions for institutional and individual property owners nationwide. Prior to joining the Barry Slatt Mortgage Company, Michael attended the University of California, Los Angeles and graduated with a B.A. in Political Science with a specialization in Business Administration. He resides in Los Angeles with his wife Molly and two daughters Maile and Avery.
