With more than 30 years of experience, Brian brings extensive expertise in commercial real estate finance to his position as Senior Portfolio Manager. Previously, Brian served as a Commercial Mortgage Banker at Slatt Capital working with private investors, property developers, and lenders, to place loans on all types of commercial real estate nationwide. Prior to joining Slatt Capital, Brian spent 17 years in multifamily lending with a national bank where he held key positions including Regional Underwriting Manager, National REO Sales Manager, and National REO Property Manager. In addition, he served as a member of the Senior Loan Committee and the Problem Loan Committee where he was instrumental in the development of work-out strategies for under-performing loans. As a Division Vice President at the bank, Brian led a highly successful team of multifamily loan originators that generated 1500 loans totaling $1.4 billion in volume. He is a regular contributor of real estate finance articles, including the examination of valuation and financing challenges for the Green Building Finance Consortium.
Brian holds active memberships in the Mortgage Bankers Association of America (MBA), California Mortgage Bankers Association (CMBA), and the Bay Area Mortgage Association (BAMA).
Brian earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics with a minor in Finance from San Diego State University, where he graduated with Distinction in his major. He also holds a California Real Estate Broker license.
