Elizabeth Burnett is a Principal and Managing Director of Loan Servicing at Slatt Capital, where she oversees the firm’s national loan servicing division. Prior to joining Slatt Capital, Elizabeth worked for more than 18 years at Gantry Inc., leaving her role as Servicing Director there in 2021 to become the Head of Servicing for a private lending firm. Elizabeth returned to commercial mortgage servicing in early 2022, joining the Slatt team as Managing Director of Loan Servicing. She was promoted to Principal in 2025.
Elizabeth leads a team of 15 servicing professionals working across multiple offices and states, with additional international support. Elizabeth is responsible for the servicing and asset management of a $5 billion portfolio for 28 correspondent lenders (primarily in the life-company and CMBS sectors). The portfolio includes approximately 1,200 commercial real estate loans across 41 states, with balances ranging from under $1 million to more than $100 million. Her responsibilities include portfolio oversight, lender and borrower relations, compliance, reporting, team development, technology implementation, and the resolution of complex loan events. She also serves as a player-coach, remaining directly engaged in challenging matters while developing the team and strengthening collaboration between servicing, production, and Slatt’s correspondent lenders.
Elizabeth earned the CCMS (Commercial Certified Mortgage Servicer) designation through the MBA in 2016 and has served annually as a course instructor and oral exam panel member since then. She has taught three of the program's six core sections: Legal & Regulatory Compliance, Servicing Company Valuation, and Lending. Elizabeth has also been a panelist or moderator at the MBA's annual CRE Servicing Solutions Conference since 2014 and has served in numerous MBA leadership roles.
Elizabeth will become Chair of the MBA Servicer Council on October 1, 2026, after serving as Second Vice Chair and First Vice Chair during the preceding two years. Her prior MBA leadership includes serving as Chair of the Small Servicers Committee, the CCMS Society, and the CCMS Qualifications Subcommittee, along with the corresponding Incoming Chair and Outgoing Chair roles, dating back to 2018.
Elizabeth is also currently serving as the Chair of the CCMS Society’s Philanthropic Subcommittee for the 2026-2027 term, after serving on its leadership team since the Subcommittee’s formation in 2023. The Subcommittee leads the CCMS Cares: Supporting Families in Need campaign benefiting the MBA Opens Doors Foundation, which provides mortgage and rental assistance to families with critically ill or injured children. The Subcommittee received the Opens Doors Foundation’s 2023 Spirit Award.
Elizabeth graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in English and a Concentration in Journalism, Ethics and Democracy.
